For six months of the year, we travel the nation photographing volleyball at tournaments large and small. We photograph throughout California, Nevada, out to Denver, Colorado and further afield. We've traveled all the way across the U.S. to photograph in Atlanta and visited Indianapolis, Dallas, Honolulu and Maribor, Slovenia and Pula, Croatia as well. Basically, we go where the volleyball is!
I started this studio back in 2001 — having already been a photographer for nearly a decade.
When I began the studio, it was not with the intent of becoming a volleyball photographer — that happened by accident, as so many great things do. One aspect of our studio that was intentional was the fact that we are a family studio. My father and brothers, sisters-in-law and cousins have all come out to help us at one time or another. Not only that, but my daughter — who wasn't even two years old when all of this started — is now one of my photographers! It's a great deal of fun for me to see her courtside photographing a match, or working at our booth.
Now, twenty years later, photographing volleyball has turned out to have been a wonderful way for us to meet families and make friends. In fact, over the years, we've hired a number of former players to come out and work with us (and even photographed some of their weddings along the way). It's also been a great way for us to see some of the U.S. and to work together as a family — most of the time without annoying each other too much!
All of that is to say that this business is one where our family is working to provide wonderful photos to your family.
Please take some time and look around the website. I hope the kind of quality we work hard to achieve will stand out to you. And if you have any questions, please get in touch — email is best, I'm often out of the office.
